August 31 our National Day .Every year, National Day celebrations are held throughout the country .The celebrations are held either on a small or medium scale.. A lot of time is spent on the practices and preparation of the parade.
On National Day, the parade normally starts at about 7.00 a.m in the morning . The Agong, Sultan, Prime Minister and other ministers as well as heads of states will observe the parade in their respective states. They salute the army, navy,marine officers, defence officers, representatives from the various multinational corporations, school music bands as well as state bands who march past them . The people on parade are dressed smartly in their uniforms. The multinational corporations have their own design of uniforms t portray their company's culture. The parade is often colourful and interesting . Many tourists are attracted to our National Day celebrations.
Many parents take their children to witness the procession of the parade . The children are seen happily waving the national flags when the parade is going on .Live telecasts of the parade are shown over the television and they are watched by millions of people in Malaysia.
Our National Day is a day of celebration for every citizen in Malaysia for achieving our independence many years ago. It shows the parade spirit of the people towards the nation.
